"SpeechLab" High-quality text-to-speech synthesis system for Bulgarian

The software product SpeechLab 2.0 of the Bulgarian Association for Computational Linguistics is the best high-quality text-to-speech synthesis system for Bulgarian at the moment. SpeechLab reads texts from various sources - electronic books, databases, web pages, e-mails, SMSs and many others. The system converts the texts into smooth and natural male or female speech. It can be applied into information, communication and navigation services, voice interface for people with disabilities, electronic games, mobile and embedded devices etc. The official site of the product is here.

"ItaEst - Taka e!" Spelling checker and Hyphenator

The Bulgarian Association for Computational Linguistics has developed tools for spelling checking and hyphenation. The tools are platform-independent and could be integrated in various text processors and other applications. The "ItaEst - Taka e!" product home page is here.

"GrammLab" Part-of-Speech tagging for Bulgarian

The software product "GrammLab" is an efficient tool for Part-of-Speech tagging of Bulgarian texts. First the tool applies a rich grammatical dictionary and a Part-of-Speech guesser for the unknown words. Afterwards the tag is determined  by parsing the text with hundreds of local context grammatical rules. The resulting preciseness is above 97.5% and the performance of the product is over 160 KB/s. INTEX for Bulgarian

INTEX was developed by the research team of prof. Max Silberstein. INTEX application area is the linguistic processing of text corpora. The Association has developed the Bulgarian INTEX module, which is distributed freely for scientific purposes. Activation code for INTEX installation can be obtained from prof. Max Silberstein.
